With the new Batman movie coming out this year starring Robert Pattinson, I thought it would be a good time to review the worst Batman film on the series – Batman & Robin
Released in 1997 and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr Freeze and George Clooney as the new Batman, this movie should have been at least decent.
I remember that XPD and myself with another friend went to see this when it released in New Zealand at a midnight screening. By then bad word of mouth had reached us that this movie as a mess, but it was Batman movie so we went to see it.
The first hint of things to come was the fact the audience was about twenty males 20-30 age range all shouting Alicia Silverstone’s name at the beginning credits. This movie is very camp and poor George Clooney is crowded out by the rest of the cast, he has actually apologised a few time for making this movie.
Saying all that this is a movie everyone should watch once, because it has now become a cult classic with its cheesy lines and bad acting.
From memory XPD also won a Batman baseball cap before the movie started. (Correct, and think I still have it – XPD)
