It has just been announced today that early next year:
“The latest throwback mini console is an homage to a home computer — the Commodore Amiga 500, reborn as The A500 Mini from Retro Games Ltd, the same company behind 2018’s C64 Mini. The collector’s item/conversation piece will cost $139.99 when it goes on sale in early 2022, the 35th anniversary of the PC’s launch.”
Both me and XPD used to own Amigas when were younger and highly enjoyed playing games on this system, as per XPD’s previous post he has acquired a original Amiga 500 which he plans to get back and running.
You can also play Amiga games on your PC using one of the many emulators available such as:
- WinUAE (Windows)
- FS-UAE Amiga Emulator (Windows, macOS, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD)
- WinFellow (Windows)
- Scripted AMIGA Emulator (web-based)
I have used WinUAE myself to play many old classic games. Saying that I might be interested next year when this comes out and if the price is right in New Zealand to get one of these systems.
