I still dont own any Apple gear, and probably wont for quite sometime – yes, I do have an iPhone 3GS but its not mine (company phone) so I dont count it

So I drop S.A.D (hmm) an email asking politely where my order was – was there a delay ?

Next day my order turns up. Or so I thought….

2x 12 Pack Dr Pepper – check
1x Free Mucking In book – che….. hold on, whats this “Shrubs and Hedges” book (or along those lines).

Invoice has a red line put through the Mucking In item – no notes or anything to say what had happened. OK, they probably sold out, fair enough, but at least give me a note to indicate this.

Shortly after I receive an email response to my query saying “Your order was delivered”.

So I respond and say that my order did finally arrive but was not entirely happy that I had been given no notice of the change in product. Could they please let me know what happened.

Ive had zilch response.

So at this point, Snatch A Deal are not getting a big thumbs up from me…

Reading the post from Google is slightly amusing…

Wave has not seen the user adoption we would have liked

Yes, well, thats because Wave never met the expectations of what was shown at last years I/O, a lot of the features demo’ed at I/O never appeared in the Wave lauch so users lost interest and went elsewhere for the next big thing.

My boss made the comment that humans are fairly linear beings, we like to read/do things in a straight order, having to go back over what we have already read/done is not in our nature, and unfortunately Google Wave tries to break this nature by letting people edit information in the past.

Maybe the younger generation are ok with this, but for the “older” generation, its not something we would adopt quickly. (Cant teach an old dog new tricks comes to mind)

Nice idea Google, but yet again, its another potentially huge idea that was let down in the end by the company behind it. So pull the plug and let the Wave die.

From what I’ve read so far, it seems like Apple and Vodafone have had some sort of falling out…. although on the other hand, it could just be that Apple have decided to hold off on the launch to resolve the “antenna-gate”  issue.

This is NOT confirmed however, soon as more information comes to hand I’ll update this article.

no iPhones to be sold anywhere today, it’s been a very long night

-other sources are blaming a shipping issue, however if this was the case, then Vodafone should have informed the consumer a lot earlier when they realised there was a problem.

0922 : VodafoneNZ site now has iPhone 4 info back up…. wtf… and apparently will be on sale at lunchtime today.

1045 : Official iPhone pricing from Vodafone site here – theyve also announced that the iPhones are on sale for new/resign contracts as of lunchtime.
